Acceptance-Based Behavior Therapy for Anxiety-Related Disorders
Sue Orsillo, Ph.D. Professor and Director of Clinical Training, Founder of the Acceptance, Mindfulness, and Emotion Lab, Suffolk University
Lizabeth Roemer, Ph.D. Professor, Founder of the Roemer Research Collaborative, University of Massachusetts, Boston
Drs. Susan Orsillo and Lizabeth Roemer have collaborated to develop an acceptance-based behavior therapy for generalized anxiety disorder. They are currently conducting an NIH-funded randomized controlled trial to compare their acceptance-based treatment to applied relaxation for individuals with GAD.
