The Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association

Student Poster Exhibition

5:00-6:00PM: Poster Exhibit (set up at 4:30pm)

6:00-7:00PM: Dr. Martin Seligman’s Presentation          

7:00-8:00PM: Award Ceremony & Wine/ Cheese Reception

Posters

 PBTA seeks submissions from PBTA student members that highlight investigations of topics related to cognitive and/or behavioral theory or practice. Works-in-progress are encouraged, and works presented at other conferences are permitted.

Submissions should include (1) a one page abstract which includes background, method, results, discussion; tables & figures as attachments are permitted. (2) On a separate page, please list all collaborators with their affiliations, postal and email addresses. (3) Submit a resume or curriculum vitae from only the student/first author. The author’s name and title should appear on each submitted document.

Submissions are encouraged from undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels of training.

Four monetary awards of $150.00 each will be given! Ceremony will follow a presentation by Dr. Martin Seligman, PBTA’s 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient.

Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association is an interdisciplinary organization that promotes the practice of scientifically-based psychotherapy in the Philadelphia region.  It has a long tradition of providing education, promoting dissemination, and facilitating networking among the local CBT-oriented community.  The organization sponsors lectures, workshops, and discussions on therapy issues for the purpose of educating practitioners, clinical scientists, and the public on the effective practice of psychotherapy.
