Maximizing Treatment Outcome in OCD

•Are you taking medication for obsessive-compulsive disorder?
•Are you still having bothersome symptoms?
•Are you interested in receiving no-cost treatment?

The Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania is offering treatment for people who have obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and are currently taking certain medications for their OCD but still have unwanted symptoms.

Eligible participants will keep taking their OCD medication and be offered add-on treatment with medication, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or a placebo pill, for approximately eight weeks. The goal of project is to determine which treatment is most effective in helping people with OCD. Both the add-on medication and CBT have been shown to be effective in helping people with OCD.

For more information about participation or for a phone screening, contact the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety in Philadelphia at 215-746-3327 or visit our website at http://www.ocdproject.org.
